M Tariq
Mr. Tariq is the Managing Director of Sapna. An accountant by profession, he spent many years as a financial controller for a large multinational firm. His passion for food lead him to give up on his profession and start a restaurant offering the finest Indian cuisine.
Mr Tariq has an excellent flair for the traditional taste which is often too easily neglected. Soon after opening the restaurant, he started receiving requests to cater for outside functions, predominantly weddings.
Mr Tariq has lead Sapna gallantly, ensuring that quality is never compromised and this is the prime reason why Sapna is at the fore front of the market.
Kamran Tariq
Kamran has recently joined the family business on a full time basis; however, he has been involved in Sapna since its inception almost 15 years ago, mostly managing weddings and functions in the evenings and weekends.
Kamran has many years of project management experience, having spent almost 5 years as a Senior Project Manager with Computer Horizons Corp. (Nasdaq:CHRZ) and System Associates Ltd.
Kamran has managed and successfully launched many large-scale Internet projects including HM Treasury (named best Government Department site for 2001), THe British Library, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Citroen Cars, Deutsche Bank, several local councils and The Greater London Authority.
Previously, Kamran has worked as Technical Project Leader with Acer Computers and as Technical Team leader for BTInternet.
Qualifications: MBA - IT & Management, City University Business School, London; BSc [Hons] Business Administration, Brunel University, London.
Abida Khan
Abida has been an executive curry chef for over twenty years, having spent over ten years with Sapna. Her professional approach towards her work has won her great admiration from her colleagues and from all who taste her cooking.
Abida's fortitude has helped ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the cooking process. This ranges from the initial stages when the ingredients are being selected right to the end when the dish is served.
Abida's consistency and experience have been a major factor in ensuring Sapna remains true to its roots of authentic North West Indian flavour of cooking.
Shah Sahib
A talented and creative tandoori chef with a wealth of experience. Shah is relatively new to Sapna, having spent many years mastering his art in Lahore as a senior tandoori chef in several prestigious hotels.
Shah has proven himself a valuable asset in a small space of time, his professional work ethic and knack for the traditional taste has helped ensure Sapna stays ahead of others.
Shah has a genuine love for his art, and his quest for creating superb tasting food has been coupled with an age old hobby of making mithaai. Indeed a man of many talents!
